I haven't met this Madara person and, from the sounds of it, I don't think I want to. I realize that he essentially has unlimited power within the sphere of this company at least. If Haku could be fired with so little notice, then I hate to imagine how expendable I could turn out to be. Not only am I a make-up artist, but an intolerable one at that.

This isn't necessarily my dream job, but it's not bad, just sitting around painting people's faces.

At any rate, today is my day off, so I'll spend the afternoon carving.

Seems everyone's going crazy with gifts today. I guess I should wish a collective happy birthday to everyone that's having a birthday over the next week or three. What a lovely surprise. I get back just in time to hear about this... 'date auction'. I'm at least grateful that I don't have to be a part of it. Or... I hope I don't have to be. I'll assume that since I wasn't notified, I'm not needed or wanted.

Also, Haku, I promise that I will get around to doing your make-over; it's just been rather hectic lately. I haven't even managed to work on any of my art.
